John Ericson
Executive Director & Site Historian
John holds a B.A. in History from Roanoke College and an M.DIV from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. His major focus in teaching about the early American religious experience through the History from the Old Brick Church Podcast, blogs and lectures.. For John, the best part of his job is helping visitors form a new perspective, inspiring them to become more responsible citizens in order to form that “more perfect union.”

Kymberly Jolly
Executive Assistant
Her coworkers often describe her as a “museum nerd.” She is passionate about many aspects of history including Art History, Religious Studies, and Critical Race Theory. She is far more passionate about her family, whose youngest members can be found volunteering at St. Luke’s on their days off from school.

Brandon Rector
Sales and Services Manager
Brandon Rector moved to Coastal Virginia to celebrate the birth of his first grandson. While touring the beautiful grounds here at St. Luke’s, he fell in love with its rich history as a 17th-century National symbol and sacred site. He has over 25 years of community outreach and ministerial experience. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys Disc Golf, historic tours, and music production.

Carrie Anderson
Development Coordinator
Carrie has been a communications professional for over 20 years, with experience in organizations ranging from universities to professional associations, but nonprofits and museums are her first love. She’s excited to help more people discover the beauty of St. Luke’s and ensure its mission is funded for generations to come.

Tara Shenton
Office Assistant
Tara has a background in Writing Arts and Higher Education. Learning new things and expanding one’s resources are important to her. She enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, and a good nap.

Brendon Brookman
Museum Guide
Brendan is a graduate of Thomas Nelson Community College, who is working towards his B.A. in History at Old Dominion University. He brings his experience from the Virginia War Museum, where he built exhibits depicting American military heritage over the last 30 years, culminating in the Museum’s centennial anniversary. He loves connecting with the public, sharing American history, and spending time with his family.

Randy Goodwin
Senior Grounds Technician
As St. Luke’s Veteran Grounds Technician of 15 years, Randy loves working outdoors. Heritage Day was one of his favorite events, when people would visit and comment on how beautiful the grounds were. Randy enjoys spending time with family, and loves to go salt-water fishing.

Gatekeeper
Theresa (Teri) considers herself an “Earthy” person and enjoys the serenity of St. Luke’s cemetery and grounds. Teri cherishes her family and loves to watch her grandchildren grow up. She also enjoys interior decorating and is currently remodeling her bathroom.
