Join us at St. Luke’s Historic Church & Museum this holiday season for an afternoon of traditional English Christmas music! Tim and Judy Olbrych will present a special program featuring voice and lute. Selections include both familiar and lesser-known carols, broadside ballads, and solo lute pieces from the 16th and 17th centuries. One performance will be held on December 7th at 1:00 pm.
Timothy P. Olbrych, Classical, Baroque, and Renaissance Guitarist, has performed throughout the United States in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings, including Merkin Hall in NYC, and has been a featured performer on both radio and television. He has performed locally with the Virginia Symphony, Richmond Symphony, Virginia Opera, Norfolk Chamber Consort, CREO, and the Shanghai String Quartet. He is the founder and past president of the Tidewater Classical Guitar Society and a member of the Performing Arts Faculty at the College of William and Mary.
Judy Olbrych, Soprano, has performed in concert series, churches, and at historic sites throughout the East Coast, appearing regularly for the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation and Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Her recording with classical guitarist Timothy Olbrych, Arise: Music of the Americas for Soprano and Guitar, has been featured on public radio in interviews on Bill Hicok’s radio show, “Silver Moonbeams” and Grete Dollitz’s “An Hour with the Guitar.
